Problem Note 56980: PROC FCMP step fails with "ERROR: File LIBREF.DATASET.DATA does not exist."
When you run a PROC FCMP step with TRACE-level auditing access specified, the PROC FCMP step fails with the following message in the SAS log:
ERROR: File <SAS-library-name>.<SAS-data-set-name>.DATA does not exist.
ERROR: Cannot open data set <SAS-library-name>.<SAS-data-set-name> for write access because it is currently opened or already exists as a standard data set.
WARNING: The following functions will NOT be saved:
<SAS-data-set-name>
The problem occurs in the FCMP step when you specify a
level value="Trace"
Audit.Data.Dataset logger definition in logconfig.xml. The problem is due to an internal error-checking mechanism that improperly tests a return code.
The workaround is to specify an auditing level other than TRACE prior to running an FCMP step that accesses the SAS library that is audited.
